Hello guys, today in uni I lost my iPhone 4, it was on a contract line (T-Mobile), However I've reported them, so they will be sending me a new sim within the next couple of days, that's not a problem! But what I was wondering is how I could possibly get one from the insurance company somehow!

The phone wasn't insured, but is there any sort of way to get a new one!
Please help as I'd paid almost 600 about 3 months ago!

    Thanks in advance,

Travel back in time and not lose it.

but seriously, if you haven't got insurance you'll just have to buy another one.

So you want to phone an insurance company and be like:
"oh, hi. I don't have insurance with you, but can you send me a new iPhone please."

Unless the police can track it down, then you're out of luck.
Check with your bank, some offer phone insurance with certain accounts.

I've got my IMEI no. or whatever is called, but don't not if it's legal to insure it and then few days later just report them I've lost it... (few of my friends told me this... but not sure if it would work...)

    Please reply!

That is insurance fraud, so probably not the best idea. You can buy emergency insurance from most phone companies - costs a bit more but probably worth it. Or just don't be so forgetful and lose your ****ing iPhone.
Nice Christmas present for someone, I must say. Maybe a tramp has it.

That wouldn't work - they are wise to things like that, and you've allready reported it to your phone company!

Use Find My iPhone, if you signed up to it since it become free, or if you already had MobileMe. It shows on a map where your iPhone is and you can lock it, play a sound, display a message or wipe it altogether.

You can download your apps and games again for free, and cheaper? No, unless you buy one second hand, but even then apple resale prices are still very high.

or you could try apple refurbished, I'm not 100% sure if they sell the phones on there, but i got my laptop from them £500 cheaper than brand new.
