    I'm doing a little side project which involves having to write about & design a poster 'bout anything related mathematically.

    Topics I've come across so far;

    Fractals
    Golden Ratio
    Zeta Function
    Fibonacci Numbers & Music
    Cryptography
    Chaos Theory
    Markovian Spam Filtering
    Search for the shape of the universe

    Wondering if anyone can help me think of others before I decide what to choose

    don;t know any, but I'd just like to say that Cryptography is certainly a good choice - you could even add in a mini cipher challenge (this is a poster aimed at getting kids interested in maths, right?)

      And, well, calculus came about from considerations of speed and velocity in the first place.
