There's a book that will really help me write an essay, but it's not in my University's library and it's waaaay too expensive to buy for just one essay. I've found previews of it online but the section I need right now isn't included.

Is there any way I can find a copy of the full book online? It would really help me get some varied references for the essay. Thanks!

Well, what's the book? We might be more helpful if we knew.

You're right, it would be! It's Sperm Whales: Social Evolution in the Oceans by Hal Whitehead. Not exactly the most interesting thing to be written, but it would literally tell me everything I need to know if I could get my hands on a full copy!

Apparently it's free to sign up, but I've never used so can't attest to its integrity. From what I've read, it appears to be some sort of science-based social networking site.
