    hey guys,
im planning to move to london.
as regars full time jobs,in italy,im from italy, everyone works 8 hours a day for 5 days a week(of course they would be 10-11 hours in total,if you count the time you have to spend on lunch and going to work\going back home).whatever his\her job is,even in the banking\financial field.but the higher up you are and the more the hours you have to spend on work are..so for example a manager, with like 10-12 people under him, easily works 10 hours a day for 5 days a week.
is it like that in the uk too,do most jobs require 8 hour work per day in the uk too?

    thank you very much

The average day is usually about 8 hours, including a lunch break.. your average 9-5.. but more and more people are working different hours so it would depend on what job you got and where

I work 7 hours plus an hour for lunch. But I live in the office so there is no travelling time. Life is easy. Don't have to go outside in the cold weather. I sadly make many other jealous when I say this, I apologise for that.

It depends a lot on your role, and your company. Currently I work about 8 hours per day, but I had the same job at another company and easily did more (probably 9).

    I work from 9am to 5.30pm with 30mins for lunch (Mon-Fri), so 8 hours.
