I'm retaking my exams as an external candidate at another college. I've been paying adult fares ever since my 16+ card expired and it's eating into half my income - ridiculous. Are there any discounts I'm not aware of? Any tricks people have used to get cheaper travel? (PM me if necessary please ) Transport in London is a rip off if you're not earning much.

    Thanks

Do you have the 16-25 Railcard? You get a 1/3 off all fares for a year (subject to T&Cs).
Also, buying tickets in advance might save you money, and travelling by National Express coach. There are probably more ways to save money but this'll do for now

You sould have at least tried to get it stamped by your old college at the start of the term.

I did and I'm enjoying free travel once more
