**** just got real. Shame they won't be able to organise DDOS attacks without Twitter.

Incidentally, I may go start a new Twitter account...

A couple of suspended accounts wont stop the DDoS, it just creates more targets.

How will they effectively organise distributed attacks without a few minority groups going rogue? They aren't all from 4chan, there are only a few in the IRC and there's no other easy way for the hive to communicate than with Twitter.

I'm all in favour of wikileaks vision, but Anonymous are playing into the US governments hands, it gives them the perfect excuse to censor the web.

      Damn you Twitter and Facebook!

I would do a mini-protest and boycott you both, but both so addictive

There are plenty of ways to communicate on darknets such as eepsites, and there is no way to control/censor them.

You don't need to organise anything.

The man who started the attacks on wiki was DDOS'ing 10Gbits a second, and he was working all on his own.

Admitting to illegal activity isn't a particularly wise move.

I'm not great with this hacking business but could they mean although he was working alone, he had control over a load of other infected computers which he was using to carry out the DDOS?

You should probably read up on what a DDOS actually is.

You can do them with 1, 50, or a million people.
