Was just wondering if any had/has an external harddrive and could give me a few tips on which one to buy?

The main things i'm wanting it for:
    • Music
    • TV Shows
    • Films
    • Photos
    • College Work

I have over 120GB of stuff I am wanting to backup or store on an external rather than internal, due to my internet harddrive being over 3 years old and slowly dying.

I read one here a few month back that a lot of people had a Seagate one and they constantly broke on them, I remember reading one person had said they owned 3 or 4 in a year! Anyone else had problems?

Which one is the best to buy, i'm looking at either a 500GB or 1TB with a USB power supply, not needing a plug. I will be taking it around with me, so hopefully get one that doesnt damage with a few knocks when carrying it.
I am willing to spent upto £70.

    Possibly this:

    Thanks.

I've had a couple of Western Digital drives and haven't had any problems with them. Take a look on BestBuy or Novatech as well as Play and Amazon, they sometimes have better deals.

This one's the one I've got at the moment

I personally use the Samsung S2 Portable Drive.

Have it since the last 6 months and it has proven to be reliable & efficient (good read and write speed).
