According to Sampras only his 1st Slam, the '94 Aus Open was stolen.
Still though, for one of the greats, that must suck

Mika Hakkinen lost all his trophies in a fire, it happens. Luckily trophies are just objects, the memories are what count, until you get alzheimer's.

I wonder if he can get replacements? I know it's note the same since it isn't the same one you were given all those years ago, but I think the Grand Slam trophies at least are replicas of the original, I assume some of the larger trophies like Queens Club must be the same?

Maybe the ATP will be nice and give him some replicas of his Year End #1 trophies if he can't get the originals back.

It's gutting though, especially since he only wanted to show his children when they were older.

The record books will always say he won those trophies but when you've had the career he's had, won the trophies he won and to have them stolen, not lost in a fire or anything then it's more emotive. I feel for him and hope he gets them back but doubt it.
