It starts as a young man determined to become somebody, faces many challenges in life. His only goal is to become someone who he respects and loves. His only problem is getting to that point of soul searching that he so desperately needs. How do you get to that point when you have no understanding of true inner peace and happiness? There is a great deal of struggles in this young man's life, and he is overwhelmed at times at his own stupidity and disregard to his own wellbeing, to truly even identify with these struggles in a healthy manner. He often asks himself "What is the point?", "Is there a reason for anything? I'm resisting anyway.."

His intentions are good, but he's not doing anything for himself, only those he wants to impress or humor. He can't find an outlet. He has nowhere for his emotions to go, so they feed back into a dark cycle within himself as destructive thoughts. These thoughts often take over him, and he becomes resilient and almost deaf to any positive things going on. He's blind to the love people have for him and hurts these people by staying in this negative cycle.

These negative thoughts often make him want to die inside and never face reality. He used to muffle these thoughts with heroin, marijuana, cocaine, alcohol, anything he could numb the pain with. He becomes sober for the first time in a while and has to deal with his problems without these crutches. Then when something happens to set him back from his goal, he feels like the world comes crashing down on him. He has no idea what to do and becomes more and more depressed and sometimes thoughtless. If he is not thinking negatively, his mind is blank. Never a positive thought.

He has tried to find God, he's tried support groups, he's got the love of a family, Why is his mind so corrupted and stained with emotional distress? What can help him overcome this? If it truly is God, why can't he seem to find Him? He screams out for help, but it seems nobody is listening. At the same time, he knows people ARE listening. Why can't he hear them? Why can't he feel their positive presence and influence in his life? He keeps slipping into deep emotional depression. Each time he gets sucked further into this hole. Like a vacuum's power being turned up, he can't escape.

With all due respect. Get a grip. Get a hamster. Begin to understand what life is about... Jesus.

Although don't get even more "depressed" when they give you some sugar pill placebos and send you on your way with a smiley sticker...

I'd have a lot more sympathy for you if you didn't write in the third person.

It reads like one of those bland monologues you can imagine Morgan Freeman narrating.

Kind of reminds me of crime and punishment or fight club. Though, those are bad ways to go. Get a pet. Then you have to look after it. Or something else to do to extreme, that isn't as obviously detrimental (a hobby, make models, learn something new, that kind of thing - just something ELSE to obsess over).
