    Hmm I doubt it, because he hasn't outright ****ged off the policy, he just says he disagrees. Plus it's unusual for a backbencher to get fired this early in the term. However he will need to tread carefully.

    I believe his argument was that parents are worried about fees and this 'so-called' debt, but yet failed to accept that these changes benefit parents. Under the new system, students will get given more money under grants (something that a lot of students relied on parents for).

    According to BBC Breakfast this morning there are ten Conservative MPs planning on voting against the tuition fee rises. They didn't name them though.

    Jenny Willott has resigned as ministerial aid and is voting against the rise.
    Although quite a few MP's in commons today have been apposing the rise, I think the majority will vote for.
