Why does nylon-6 have a higher Tm value than nylon-11?

Is this correct: Since the monomer of nylon-6 has a shorter length than the monomer of nylon-11 there will be more opportunities for hydrogen bonding.

Because if you think about it if you have a polymer of length x of both them, there will be more polar groups in the nylon-6 than the nylon-11 hence it will be stronger.

Sounds good to me, more H bonding between parallel strands = stronger structure = higher Tm
