I've been glued to BBC Parliament all day and regardless of my opinions on this outcome () I know have to live with it.
I heard the new maximum starts in 2012? Now, I'm on a gap year at the minute with a secured place to begin in September next year. Does this mean I'll escape any possible raised fees at my uni entirely? Of course I'll not get any the first year but when the new maximum is applied I'll still have two years to go. Can they raise the fees for my final two years regardless of the cost if my first or not?

    Thanks.

No, the fees will be capped at £3,375 or whatever the fees would ordinarily be for the entry year September 2011. The fees rise will ONLY affect students entering university in September 2012 and beyond -- September 2011 students will continue to pay the capped fees of £3,375 or thereabouts and not the £6,000-9,000 proposed rise.
