I'm doing my A2 research topic on the physics behind the jet engine. I have covered how the engine works, and also how thrust is produced by the engine, including all the physics behind that. I was just wondering if anybody has any ideas as to what other areas I could cover as part of this topic? Need a few more hundred words...
    Thanks

Just chucking a few random ideas

How about the type of materials that might be needed? eg. in the turbine blades and combustion chamber.

what type of fuel is used and how its injected?

a small biography on the inventor.

although these are probably more engineering aspects rather than physics.
