    Hey all

Im trying to produced a graph in excel showing the various exponential growths of different parasite cultures.

However I only have the starting number of parasites, the final number of parasites and the number of hours it takes for the population of parasites to double. How could i use this information to produce a exponential graph.

The nearest i could get to plotting a graph was doubling the population myself and plotting on the graph, however the number of hours for the population to double is for example 19.54 and 9.23 hours, so i had to use the nearest whole number which produces an incorrect graph

    Thanks for the help

Could you give us the data?

No problem (uploaded as a picture. easier to display that way)

That is the basic information needed. The starting density is the parasite only, while the four results below are the parasite left in a culture for a week Basically I want to plot a graph with hours as the x axis and cell density as the y axsis.

I actually have two population doubling time. We left the culture in the incubator for a week so we calculated the population density assuming they multiply over the week

We were also told that they reach a stationary phase at about 3 days so we had to also calculate the population doubling time asuuming that the final density was reached over 72 hours.

It would be great to plot both sets of rates on one graph however i was unsure about this as i felt it would become too messy.
