I eat a lot, all the time really. I'd say I eat when I'm hungry, but more likely when I'm bored; my body obviously doesn't need the constant intake of rubbish I eat, but I always feel I could eat something.

(For clarification, I don't have worms!)

Apologies I can't be of any help with why you don't have an appetite, how long's it been going on for? Just a few days or weeks and it could be related to something else, just something that will pass, but if it's longer, it may be worth getting it checked out? Could be something developing?

i dont think its an extreme loss of appetite - just a phase i think - but thanks for the concern! i will keep an eye on it - i just dont find it any where near as enjoyable/ satisfying sitting down to a meal when im "not really hungry" if you know what i mean!

lately my appetitie seems to have gone down quite dramatically - just dont feel hungry half the time! i do eat though - more out of habit and sociability but has any one else ever experienced this? and do you just eat normally or wait until your hungry?!

thanks x

A mix of both for me

depends what youve been eating, low gi carbs will generally make you feel this way. high gi carbs will make you feel hungry more often.

you could have also increased your water intake, sometimes people mistake hunger for thirst.

Depends whether you're cooking for yourself. If you've just started Uni and you're in self-catered - frequently I find myself thinking...'can I be bothered?'

If you're not hungry then don't eat. Simple.

I like that outlook.
I know what you mean! Sometimes I just feel like I don't have the urge to eat, and I just generally don't feel like eating very much at meals either. It's strange because I don't exactly feel hungry, more like, I feel that my stomach's empty but it doesn't really bother me and I just forget.
Maybe something to do with your stomach shrinking? :s-smilie:

I dont really get hungry that much. but at one point i was never ever hungry and that made having meals a bit tricky. till i started having a nice big brekkie. sounds weird but i eat it despite not being hungry then by lunch im feeling more hungry than usual. think it has something to do with motabolism or summin

Yeah I have been like that all my life. I don't actually enjoy eating and see eating unnecessarily as a waste of time. So I end up just eating when my body screams out for food which isn't very often. Mind you, although a bit on the skinny side, my weight has remained stable for the past 6 years so I must be doing something right.

I kind of know what you mean. I think the less you eat, the less hungry you become. I know many people say that your stomach 'strinks' and so you don't get hungry as much, as when you do, less food fills you up. I am not sure if the strinking part is true but the rest seems to apply to me.

No, the shrinking part is true. Don't worry about it - unless you're already painfully thin it shouldn't be a problem
Eating when you feel like it can be ok. It could be because you are near your peiod and that your hormones are all messed up. I am a size 6 dress size and i eat when i want. Eating a proper diet can get you back to normal but dont make youself eat.
A size 6 is probably a bad size but i can live with it. I go to the gym 6 times a week s i burn it of.
If i did not go the gym then i would be big.
dont worry it is probably just tat you are at the time of the month!!
