    Hey,

I am a first year student at uni studying Diagnostic Radiography. I have my OSCE and written exam next week so i was just wondering if someone can help me and tell what the exam is like, the type of questions that come up etc. ?!

Any sort of help is appreciated. Many thanks.

I'm at George's (I'm guessing you are?) but did the IFP and OSCE three years ago. IronMike did it last year so has more recent experience. Bear in mind though that we're physios and your exam may be different slightly as I believe you don't have an OSPE, so I imagine you get slightly more anatomy in the IFP? Don't forget the flowery stuff like the epidemiology, stuff on McMillan nurses etc.

The OSCE is five minutes per station, the only guaranteed one is BLS. You can score a fair number of marks just by introducing yourself, thanking the patient, explaining your findings etc. Make sure you do a quick handwash with the gel unless it's specifically a hand wash station in which case do the full regime.
