I have a conditional offer for pharmacology and the university is inviting me to an open day. However, I am not sure if it would be worth it - since it is 4 hours away (without traffic!).

My parents are almost always busy, and I really don't fancy travelling over 4 hours and waking up early to get there all on my own. This would also mean I would miss school and do catch up.

The whole point of open days is to have a taste of the university. However, I'm really not too bothered whether if I "like" the university or not - I just want an education! I mean it is so competitive these days that any university will do for me.

Can the university withdraw their offer if I do not come to the open day?

If the open day was before you got an offer then they might want to see you before deciding. But as you have an offer it shouldn't matter if you don't go. However, do check your letter carefully as there's a teeny chance they might want to do a late interview. They can['t withdraw the offer if you don't go, but if you did go and then missed the grades they might remember you and be more lenient.

I had the offer first , the open day letter states:

"Following your offer from us, we would like to remind you about our
    School Open Days."

There is no mention of an interview - the course I applied for in this uni does not require an interview. So I take it that they will not withdraw their offer even if I do not go?

I have been sent an invitation for an open day at Leicester, after receiving an offer from them, and I'm not sure I'll be going. I've been and I've seen it about 2 months ago and I don't see the point in repeating what I already did. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't have applied there.
