    Hello all,

I'm an international student who is interested in pursuing a MA degree in UK (Gender Studies or International Politics).

Since my BA degree is just in the line for MA entry requirements, I have decided to follow a pre-masters programme first.

Unfortunately, I was past the entry date of pre-masters taught in many major UK universities (where they have already started - since September 2010).

However, I have managed to be accepted in the 4 following ones (January 2011 entry):
    Aberystwyth University
    Bellerbys College (London)
    Oxford Brookes Unviersity
    University of Liverpool

Please note that my MA is not necessarily going to be in one of those 4 universities.

Which programme do you think is more likely to make an impact when applying for an MA degree? I have checked with several universities and they said it was up to me to chose (not one of them gave itself the trouble to point out a particular pre-masters course).

So I could really do with some help on this, because I am confused at this stage,
    Thanks for your replies!

Aber has a great reputation in International Politics, but I know very little about that program.

Also, will you need a visa to study in the UK? I know they are considering tightening the requirements for student visas. This may impact you since these programs do not lead to a degree. If you're planning to start in Jan 2011 you may be cutting it close with the visa as well.
