Struggling a little bit with this one, can someone please explain:

Colin averaged 83% over 3 exams. His average for the first two exams was 76%. What was Colins score in the final exam?

    Thanks

83% overall implies his total mark was 249/300

I got 97%, you will have to leave it as a percentage then

I would presume its out of 100 though, so he would need 97 I reckon on his last paper, presuming its out of 100.

You don't need to presume anything... just leave it as a percentage.

I interpreted the question wrong tbh, I thought it ask for an actual score - not percentage.
