Any anime fans here at Durham?

Hey, are there any anime fans in Durham? I know there are some, but they aren't freshers though.

I would really like to set up a society if I can find any fans out there after discovering that there was a society in previous years.

So if you like anime, or know someone that does, please let me know!

There's a guy at Hatfield who has a large collection of anime, or so says sharescan.

Yea, I know there's a few fans on Sharescan, but I can't talk to them although I have managed to get one of their email address.

I'm a quite a fan of anime and I was having similar thoughts about trying to set up an anime society as I was really disappointed that Durham currenty doesn't have one.

At the moment Trevs has T.A.M.P.A.C.S (Trevelyan Alternative Movie Plus Animated Cartoon Society) which occasionly shows anime (It showed Princess Mononoke recently). I know a couple of other freshers in Trevs that would also be interested in such a society.

I'd join it.

Cool, because we need 15 members for a "small society" which doesn't get any money, or 30 members (min.) for a proper society.

I'm really into alternate movies too actually.

Yeah, the Hatfield guy... has TONNES of anime. No Dragonball Z, however, which is weird... thats the only anime that ever got my time of day, really...

I posted this matter on the Durham Webmail and got a response from someone at the Durham Anime society!

"As it happens, there already IS an anime society. Unfortunately we haven't been ratified for the past two years, so it's not surprising you don't know about us. Meetings are:
Monday, 7:00 - 9:30 CY85
Friday, 7:00 - 9:30 ER142
