This is what I want to do for my A-levels i'm doing AS now.

Continue Chemistry, Biology and dropping either English Lit or Maths

Then I want to pick up an external French AS level. Is it going to be too much work?

Why do you want to take AS French externally? can;'t you do it with your school and join the lessons?

That'll be fine. It will of course be harder to learn it externally (isn't there anyway you can do it at you school/college, it would make it so much easier). A lot of people I know, including me, now continue on with 4 A2's. Good luck!

I haven't asked my school yet but they would most likely let me. I think I want to do it externally mostly because, when I start i'd be 18 and the rest of people in my class would be 16. I know a childish reason really.

It won't be too much work. I'd advise you against dropping maths.

    Why?
It is linked to science in more ways than eng. lit.

No it won't just keep on top of your work, do homework when you can, make sure you have good time management skills etc, i know people who are doing much more that that, eg, French, Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Italian, and Chemistry A2s in the one year, so you will be fine

    I second this.

Really? I'm not really loving Maths, but same goes for Eng Lit.

Medicine, but I'd like to do Medicine + a language. I see it's possible at Manchester Uni.
