Hi was just wondering with regards to background checks, I did a gap year and took on small jobs, i.e cleaner, waiter, newsagents and there's no real way for them to check this, would this count against me? Also, while I wasn't travelling, I was on JSA, would this come up and would it count against me?

And I've also gone over my agreed overdraft before. Would this also count against me?

Quite worried, so thanks for any responses!

the JSA shouldn't go against you, i'm sure it would be illegal in some way to discriminate on people that were once on it. There are some posters on this forum who have direct experiance, hopefully they will answer your question
