Ok, I’ve got offered a summer job in a hotel on a Greek Island, I’ve said yes because I really don’t want to turn it down even though I may have to.

It looks like a great opportunity and I can’t think of anything I’d rather do over the summer. I still can’t believe I’ve even got it.

The problem is I will have A2 level exams (english. media.sociology) I haven’t taken. I didn’t really realize they’d want me to start work so early until now when they emailed the dates. I assumed they would want me for July/August.

They want me to start work on May 20th until September 15th. I’m guessing it’s some kind of contract.

But I have exams on the

    *26 May
    *6 June
    *16 June
    *20 June
    *21 June
    *24 June

There is like no way I can miss them and there all really spaced out!

I mean I could combine the 16-24 June exams in a trip together, but then that’s 8 days of work I’ll miss.

If I could I’d just forget all about the exams and do them next year, I don’t feel ready anyway. But my Parents are so strict and there is no way they would let me do that in a million years.

I'm going to be doing a third year at college after the summer, could I take the exams next year, but I wont be doing the same subjects next year or...

Is there any way I could take the exams earlier/later or move them closer together?

there such a nuisance being so spaced out!

Any advice would be great! I really dont know what to do?

    Thanks, Jessica.

Can you not ask the company if you can start work later as you have exams? Maybe you should have checked the dates before you applied. :/

Or..., fly back for the exams and miss some days of work, if they will let you.

There is no point putting your exams on hold if the job is only temporary, as it will mean you will have more to do them next year on top of other things..
