Laughing so much that...

...your cheekbones hurt. Anyone else experience this? Lately i have been laughing so much that at one point it really started to hurt and i wanted to stop cos obv i was in pain but i couldn't :frown: Oh and more information please: how'd you go about making yourself stop laughing when say there's only you and 1 othe rperson laughing in class at college, where everyone else looks so serious and you get disapproving looks from your teacher

yes.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

To stop laughing, use your fingers to force your mouth into a downward shape. Trust me it works

ooh, i know what you mean, its painful, and when you stomach muscles hurt as well, its a pretty good work out actually, everyone should laugh for at least half hour a day...

and i hate that when you cant stop laughing and no one else is and it just makes you look like a reet tit, so embarassing  i dont know how to stop that, i always try to distract my self by taking a sip of a drink or summat but then i start laughing again and choke, and then after a while everyones asking you what your laughing at and you cant explain it cos your still laughing so much, and when you eventually calm down and tell them, its lost all its funny ness and they just look at you funny.

yeah i get it all the time.

I actually thought this thread was gonna say: "Laughing so much that....a little bit of wee comes out". :p:

So you can tell that I laugh a lot!! Everything people have said on here is so true, especially what qwerty_st/n has said!

I constantly laugh at inappropriate times, or when nothing's funny, when nobody is laughing, when everybody else has gotten over it when I haven't, on my own, in a class own my own...the list is endless. I laugh at my own jokes too; I just can't help it! :p:

I also laugh when I'm uncomfortable though. Which is the worst characteristic one can have. I tend to laugh at completely unfunny situations, like when people get bad news. I think it's a coping mechanism, or just out of awkwardness, or maybe just because I'm laughing 99.9% of the time!

The worst bit is if you do take a sip of water then start choking on it and the laughing/chocking thing is impossible to stop for ages when everyone around you starts laughing

yeah, im always laughing at my own jokes, but sometimes you just have to dont you? its like there are times when i genuinely believe that i'm the funniest person i know...

oh and once i saw this kid get knocked over by a car, it wasnt going very fast, but whilst everyone else on the bus gasped in horror, i just burst out laughing, and then i was laughing at everyone on the bus for the way they all gasped, it was sooo funny! the kid was ok but i didnt half get some dirty looks

*edit: and isnt it just awful when you snort really loud as your laughing, especially in a quiet room when your the only one laughing

Never had the cheekbone pain but I laugh until my stomach literally aches to an unbearable degree - did you know it burns more calories than running!!?

I haven't laughed properly in a long time. I miss it.

^ watch Monty Python or something.

Good way to stop laughing is to bite your tongue - this is also good for those situations when you cannot laugh or even smile. Works a treat.

What is there to laugh about?

Surely at your age, your studying GCSEs and have just started seeing there isn't a meaning in life, so how could you be laughing constantly?

It could be that you have a twisted mind, but ...

Please tell me; what do you find so funny, so I can follow your way of thinking. :p:

I do that all the time, lol, there have been loads of situations where me and a friend have been talking about someone and a strange habbit they have or something funny that they do without realising, and they come in and start doing it, and me and that friend just can't stop laughing, lol, it looks really harsh but its not, just a coincidence.
