(i didnt see another thread on this, apologies if there is one)

So Frankie boyle has managed to offend someone else with his dark comedy. This time, he made a joke about Katie Price and her disabled son Harvey (i dont know who he is either).
So is comedy about disabled people ok? Channel 4 have defended it. I wonder if they would still defend it if it was a joke about race, or sexual orientation.
    Are jokes like these ok?

It's called dark comedy for a reason. Don't like it, don't listen.

I love Frankie Boyle's Tramadol Nights, except for the stand up parts since he just takes it too harshly and it's rarely funny. The sketches are brilliant though.

So what part of this needs a neg...?

Harvey Price... the only person in the entire world who hasn't seen Jordan's tits.

    Ironic, no?

Who cares, it's only slutty Jordan. She will do anything for some media attention.

    I think its perfectly acceptable.

He should be allowed to joke about anything he wants. If people are offended by it, they shouldn't watch it. If people enjoy it, good on them.

It shouldn't be any business of the government what we watch or what we like. Especially when its comedy, i.e. not serious.

I agree. His stand-up is cringeworthy. It's basically him trying his hardest to be insulting.

How do you know KP was watching it? She might have heard about it from someone else.

If someone was taking the piss out of my childs disability I would be pretty pissed off too.

That said, I dont mind FB, but he is a bit desperate at times and already mentioned on this thread.

Did any of you actually laugh when you heard it, or even smile? Maybe people laugh at these jokes because its one of those 'OMG i dont believe he said that' type moments.
Like when a pupil tells a teacher to **** off, you cant help but giggle.

He tries to hard to be insulting now. It's kinda cringe worthy to watch.

But I mean, he jokes about that kind of thing all the time.

I went to his gig at the MEN this week, it was HILARIOUS.
He said "Its my last tour, and to be quite honest, i really don't give a **** anymore"
He was extremely offensive, but soooo funny.
He did the Harvey joke then, people found it amusing - I must say though, it wasn't the worst thing he said.
I think the main joke wasn't that people were laughing at disabled people, but they were laughing at the fact that Boyle broke through the barriers and was daring to say the unthinkable.

He was racist and homophobic too. He even dropped the n-bomb. There were gasps at that.
It was recorded for television, but he said half way through he doubted any of it would go on the air.
Maybe Channel 4 shouldn't have put it on television, as it does break a couple of Ofcom's rules really.
