How competitive is it to get into Chartered Accountancy Graduate schemes? Watch

    Providing you can show your interested, aren't a mouse and have studied a relatively analytical subject you should find it relatively straight forward.

    Thats certainly enough to get your foot in the interview door, after that it's up to you though! I agree with Mr Jingles that showing that you're interested and having a bit of commercial awareness is really important.

    The firms have a set of competencies they look for. KPMG's are set out at http://www.kpmgcareers.co.uk/Graduat...0).aspx?pg=270

    These are what you need to have as well as the academic requirements that many people will be able to meet. If you can show that you've got them and meet the academic requirements then theoretically you should be fine.

    Applying to the big firms is very competitive in terms of number of applicants to places, but if you meet the requirements there's plenty of spaces for you to be able to get a position.

    It is tough, but those results should get you an interview. Don't be a robot (they like real people) and be honest with them. Practice your interview technique as well
