    Hey,

I've got a student placement in Central London (Covent Garden) from July next year.... I was just wondering what people who have taken a year's industrial placement in London have done for accommodation? It can obviously be stupidly expensive to live there... I've looked at the options:

    - Commute in from home every day (from Northamptonshire, about 90minute train journey), with a season ticket costing around £5300... but also miss out on living in London.
    - Go in a shared private house, but be some distance away from the placement and also possibly live with very random people, who probably aren't students?
    - Look at seeing if its possible to get private university halls (e.g. with unite) to live in, but see if the contract can be changed for July-July instead.
    - Rent a studio flat some distance away from Central London, but still at the cost of £600 pcm plus bills.... but live on own.... bad times

Has anyone else been in the same situation? What did you choose in the end?

    Thanks in advance!
    x
