I'm analysing a political speech for my AS English Language coursework, and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about specific traits of political speech?
I have tried to find some resources, but most are really extensive, and too comprehensive for what I'm looking to write.

Use things like rule of three/repetition, emotive language, include facts, be convincing, sell your position.
Watch a speech. Maybe MLK's "I have a dream"? That might help.
I randomly typed in persuasive techniques to google. Because a political speech is basically pesuading someone to act in a certain way or think in a certain way.
