    Hi people, i was wondering if u could help the question states:
    in an equilibrium reaction v + w ---------> x + Y, the equilibrium constant is 15.
    if you start with 8 moles of V and 5 moles of w , how muCH of each component will be present in eqm.
    so
    x^2 / (8-x)(5-x)

    where am i going wrong with the above, what should i do to get a quadratic. thnks
    You're not going wrong... it's correct.

    Just make that equal to 15 and rearrange.

    15 = x2/ (8-x)(5-x)

    etc...
