My friend says she had a dreadful childhood, I only met her a few years ago at 22. She will say how she hates her parents and refused to go to an uncle's funeral as he was a paedo towards his own children and other family members (not sure if that was her that she meant). She has major issues when the word paedophilia is mentioned.

She starts talking on the phone or in person about how bad her past was and says she will not tell me. I am not one to pry so it is up to her how she deals with it. I don't like when she snaps as she said her sister had a similar childhood and when I said did she deal on her own or with a therapist she told me to but out. I didn't want to know about her sister's experience but was trying to advise that what she did may work for her. I don't know why she tells me this stuff if she hates bringing up the past.
