Okay so in Edinburgh we get a choice to do outside courses for the first 2 years. I saw roman worlds from the school of classics is available next semester, it really appeals to me.

My concern is 1. the world load, i'm already taking subjects with hefty reading lists, and 2. I haven't studied a history subject since prior to GCSEs. Sure, I do art history now but it's a lot less date orientated, more conceptual.

Would I be at a disadvantage? How do you study for history exams/write history essays? When it says roman worlds, what is likely to be covered?
