I'm quite a good cook, and I always try different recipes and ingredients. But for the past 4 or 5 weeks I've found I've got no appetite at all- I cook an entire meal and end up throwing it straight in the bin. Has anyone ever experienced this themselves? Or can anyone shed light on what is causing it? Its really affecting my health.

I've been to a doctor and all they did was sent me for a blood test.

Not much to be done other than see a doctor, which you've already done. Wait and see what the tests say.
    Have you been stressed?

I've been feeling quite down, but I've been feeling like that for months, the food thing is new.

Try putting the food in your mouth and saying 'Omnomnomnomnom' until it's all gone. Problem solved

Check out the symptoms of depression online. If they ring any alarm bells, see a doctor.
To be honest, if you're not eating properly, you should be going to a doctor anyway. Could be depression, could be a thyroid problem, could be stress, or any manner of other things.
If it's worrying you, go get some help.
    Good luck!

EDIT: sorry, just read your OP properly.
Blood test may well be to check your thyroid function.
Hang in there, the doc's should sort you out.

Maybe this is a progression of that. You should probably go back and tell the doctor you've been feeling down, that way they can assess whether you might be depressed.

I think it sounds like depression has started to progress. Go seek help before it really gets out of control :hugs:
