    Hey there.

I was 7 UMS marks off of an A last year, so I'm resubmitting coursework and resitting the exam. Though really, sitting the poorer of the two would have been quite enough-- Hey, what can I say? I'm a masochist.

Anywho, down to business. The coursework deadline (for it being sent away) is January so I've sent my final draft(s) to my teacher for our in-school deadline. I was just wondering if any one here would be willing to read through both of my essays and tell me what I should have excluded/included/changed for them to be reaching the very top of Band 1 (29-30 marks). I know that I can't change them as it won't be my own, but I still feel it'd be constructive for me to know. Obviously, it makes better sense for me to be receiving advice and guidance from someone who has already got their A, but I'm open to any one, really. Any objective criticism is valuable at this point.

I don't really want to be pasting them all over the internet, so if anyone's interested it'd be an email-to-email kind-of deal. The first of the two essays is a comparative essay between the poetry of Sylvia Plath and Anne Sexton in concordance with the notion of 'Confessionalism.' The second is a Feminist/gender critical theory essay drawn from Margaret Atwood's poem Helen of Troy does Countertop Dancing.

    Thank you!
