I'll admit I didn't really care for the sacking of big Allardyce, but he wasn't exactly doing a bad job at Blackburn. The owners want a top five finish though, ridiculous or not? I can't see them breaking into the top 5 with any level of investment. Will no doubt provide hilarity in the future.

Considering he reckons he could get the Madrid job, surely the top 5 would be easy if he was given a massive transfers kitty though? :awesome:

    Martin O'Neill maybe?

But a top 5 finish, without some massive shake-up and some ridiculus transfers, is a long way off.

Throw in UEFA's fair play financial thing coming into effect next year, it'll never happen.

    From that article:

Allardyce had hoped to recruit household names such as Roque Santa Cruz, John Carew and Robbie Keane. Unfortunately their wages were almost certainly beyond Venky's budget.
So Blackburn will be looking at cheaper prospects than these guys? They are basically ****ed :rofl3:

Apparently he wanted Robbie Keane, and they offered him Kris Boyd.

    So they have no chance.

They've also outsourced transfer policy to an external company.

So, pick a random PL club and demand fourth place for the CL money, is that how it works?

This really cheered me up and put a smile on my face

I suppose Mike Ashley is no longer the biggest idiot in the premier league

HAHAHAHAHA. I never thought there would be people in this world, let alone in the very same club, that could be more deluded than Sam Allardyce. Marvelous stuff, it really is.
