Hello, I am currently doing my first degree in Law and am thinking about taking a masters afterwards, and possibly further.

Can current masters.research/doctorate students share some of your experiences please. What grades do I need to be getting now? 70+? 80+? How many unis did you apply to? Where are you studying? Is the program good? Do you have one specialism or several? Do I need to be at a good university now to get into a good postgraduate program?

I'm particularly interested in Oxbridge and UCL, so if anyone from there can give me an insight, would be great.

Any postgrads also willing to tutor/via distance/mark exam answers? especially if you got a first. pm me and see this link http://www.localtutorforum.com/showt...=3705#post3705

There have been some discussions recently on the Cambridge graduate applicant's thread about the Cambridge program (see this link). I'm only applying this year, so I don't have much insight, but both Cambridge and Oxford say that the minimum requirement is first class honours. I don't have a UK degree, so I can't comment on what raw score you'd need to meet that requirement. Good luck with your studies and any future applications!
