I am a final year non law undergraduate who is currently waiting on replies for Easter Vacation Schemes.

I have also applied to start my GDL next September.

Some firms obviously pay for the conversion if a training contract is secured, however for a non law graduate they would have to get the vacation scheme and then get the training contract almost immediatley in order to get their conversion paid for.

My question is say I am unsuccessul on a vacation scheme is there any point in applying for a training contract without?

Also if I do not get a training contract this year but I am able to get one next year having already started my GDL is there a possiblity the firm may reimburse me for the years fees, and possibly living expenses?

Thanks for any help you give

I was just aiming to find out whether firms may reimburse if you secure a TC after you have started the GDL. I have looked on a few websites but saw little on that.

    Thanks for your help.
