    Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of applying for the MSc. Pre reg physio course and have been looking at career progression so am aware of the pay bands and pay points per band. My question is, how do you progress in private practice? Through the NHS you go through the band system but say you got a job as a band 6 physio at a private practice, how would you progress to band 7. The adverts are always like '...looking for a band 7 physio for private...' but I don't understand how you would get to that stage if you have worked privately for a few years at a band 6 post. Is there a set framework or portfolio that stays with you as evidence or something that's carried over to whatever your job is?

    Cheers
