I recently made several orders to the tune of £460 for clothes from online websites. I checked my account today only to discover this money reappeared in my account, despite being charged by the online stores a few days earlier. I'm assuming Natwest were suspicious and cancelled my payments, but some of the clothes items have been dispatched.

What do I do about this? Will I be recharged by these stores? Should I just wait? What will happen to the items that have yet to be dispatched?

Payments made by debit card will often take a few days to debit your account.

Whatever you do, leave the money in the account as the transactions will appear at some point ... whether that's tomorrow, next week or in six months time.

I'd leave it a few days. with natwest i've occasionly had money appear in my account, disappear, then reappear again. have also noticed it happening the other way round every now and again.

so yeh, leave it a few days. if you're really worried or if it doesn't fix itself, just give the bank a call and they should be able to sort it out for you
