    Hi
I've got to write an essay for my English GCSE on the book of Mice and Men about Curley's Wife Do you think my opening line is good or bad (or not correctly punctuated!)
    Cheers,
    Jazzie

'Of Mice and Men', a 1930s novel by John Steinbeck, explores the many aspects of companionship and loneliness through the characters status, emotions and perception as they try to achieve the illusion of the American Dream.

PS I don't think it sounds right so feel free to criticise!

    It sounds very good.

Add a semi colon after perception, and put illusion in qoute marks; as some people coud disagree with your point there.

Now get cracking on the real deal, the essay :P
