My Grandma had one, I don't think it tasted awful but I don't think it was pleasant. I have a funny feeling she had is with diluted orange juice, and she couldn't taste that much, it just tasted like orange only a bit funny. :smile:

ooh. barium meals....ive had a few patients tell me about theirs when they've had them. they used some rather colourful language to describe the taste....but i wouldnt worry about it different people have different tastes and all that, i'm sure you'll be reet :smile:

I had one last year and it was awful, it was so thick I couldnt get it down and this horrible nurse came out and told me to hurry up as I was taking too long- I was nearly sick I was swallowing it so fast. It didnt really taste of anything, but it was the consistency that I hated- it was like swallowing cold porridge, a massive glass full of it.
