Hiya, i am a current 3rd year student and my university offers a year intercalating MSc after this year.

Now i was wondering whether it would be worth my while applying to this. I have listed some of my own reasonings below, i would really appreciate some input from current medical students who have considered/ taken this option before.

    Advantage:

It would be a less stressful year.
    Looks better on your cv.

    Disadvantage:

It would be harder in year 4, as the MSc is not hugely related to year 4 and 5 stuff. (neuroscience/ biochem/ mol medicine)
Not a big advantage in terms of your future career.
Need to spend one more year of your life.
