Suddenly came down with it last night/this morning, having fended it off from every member of my family for a week or so.

I'm not usually one to moan - I used to go to school even if I had 'the runs' in the morning, but I am feeling terrible. Headachey, light-headedness, lack of appetite despite being ravenously hungry:confused: hot then cold at the drop of a hat...

Anyone else out there got this or is this concentrated in south Essex? (No witty remarks - I can sense them coming)

Anyone got any 'cures' for this?

Yeah, loads of people I know have that too. Each day it seems like someone else from our classes are missing.
But I'm from Essex too. :ninja:

I had those symptoms for a week but just thought it was the flu so stayed in bed until I got better. My dissertation supervisor is convinced it was swine flu... Would maybe see how you get on with things like lemsip and other cold and flu remedies. Make sure you get a lot of rest as well.

I've taken paracetamol, synadol, and lemsips. Been asleep all day and fear I may have to rely on a nytol to help me get off tonight. Doesn't help having to get up at the crack of dawn to go to the doctor!

Don't know whether nytol is a good idea with the other stuff. I take them at uni and laid off them when I was on other medicines just in case I got more delirious. Can you speak to the doctor over the phone? I asked for a phone consultation and refused to go in. Hope you feel better soon, it seriously sucks feeling that bad!

I've decided against the nytol. Just drugged myself up on a couple of paracetamol. That's a very apt word, delirious. I feel like my mind is zooming in and out of focus like a camera.

You do realise that there are thousands upon thousands of viruses that will give people those symptoms... ?
