As a child I sucked at looking after my teeth. Baddd. So they've always been a bit... Inconsistent.
My teeth are in no way gross, they're white and all that, just a little weak.
Basically one of my teeth keeps bleeding when I brush, and when I floss.

I went to my dentist last week so I'm not worried that much. He said I had an infection and that I need to floss differently to how I was. Which i've been doing. But it keeps on bleeding and it REALLY hurts to brush.
Does this go away? Should i go back? It's driving me insane.
    Any ideas?

Keep brushing it, even if it bleeds/hurts. If there's any food/plaque trapped around the tooth brushing will help. Obviously if this carries on for more than a week ring your dentist and say you're concerned.

as above, did the dentist tell you what the infection was called? keep brushing around there, aim the bristles of the brush towards the gumline and brush in a circular motion (google modified bass brushing)

Maybe you should change the toothpaste and (or) the toothbrush to something more soft and healthy for your gums? Ask your dentist about better pastes and brushes.

Chances are they will stop bleeding if the OP starts smoking too

A gum infection I reckon like everyone else said, brush it even if it bleeds. I'd also recommend using Oraldene mouthwash for a week. You can buy it at the chemist, it's about £6 though (ouch). My dentist also prescribed me tablets, but mine must have been a baaaaad infection (too many sweeties :P)
