Nope - it's year 13. Sixth form is 12-13.
Your final 'Compulsory' year of school is techinically year 11....Y12/13 are equivalent to college.
I graduated high school in 1979, what year did I begin high school?

So in Bucks, I managed to pass the 12 exams and started grammar school in Form 2 during the academic year that I turned 13. This is equivalent of starting secondary school in year 8 today. Bucks is weird!
I was born 1970 and left school at 15 what year was it that I left school?
I left school at 15 years old and was born 1970. What year did I leave school ?

2002 because the difference between 13 and 7 is 6. So if your final year was 2008, then you would've started secondary school 6 years prior to that.

Year 12 and year 13 is college, which is mandatory ,and then after college it's university if we choose to go or not.
College is not mandatory and neither is Nursery
