My OH smashed the glass on his phone yesterday - touch screen etc all still in touch and working fine. His insurance doesn't cover it Apple have quoted £135 for repair, which is steep but what we'll go for if necessary. Have had an extensive google on this and there are a few companies offering same thing but cheaper, but I am wary of using them (particularly as a lot of them ask you to send your phone to them and it'd be a lot to lose if it didn't come back).
Basically, anyone had their screen repaired or replaced and can recommend somewhere decent and maybe more affordable?
    Cheers.

I'm surprised Apple only quoted you that! I got told they'd do it for basically the cost of the phone itself! -_- I went to a local phone fixing shop and they did it for £100. They ordered the parts and then they called me when they were in and I dropped the phone off for a few hours then I went to collect it So have a look around your area. Failing that, I've heard this site is very good?

Wow really? And I thought £135 was a lot. Thanks for the link, will do a bit of research and see if there are any reviews for it. Was your new screen as good as new?

I know, I was gutted :| But yeah, the screen looked as it had before the fatal accident! But good luck, I know how frustrating it is to have a smashed iphone.
