The last couple of days I've had excess saliva, so I keep having to swallow. It's not so bad when I'm not thinking about it, but it's horrible as I can't not think about it. It's making me talk funny because my mouth gets full of saliva so quickly. And because I keep swallowing air, I'm not burping occassionally (quietly and to myself luckily). But this is really horrible.

Nothings changed, no different diet or meds. Has anyone else experienced this?

Just type in excess saliva to google and/or go to your pharmacist.... it's generally not excess saliva, just problems with swallowing it, although maybe not in your case.

    Go to the GP
My friend got her tonsils removed which helped.

    1. Go to the dentist and get a checkup in case it is your teeth
    2. Go to the GP and get a check up in case it is your tonsils/salivary glands
    3. If nothing is wrong then your GP will be able to refer you to a speech therapist who will be able to give you strategies to decrease the saliva
    4. If that doesnt work there are medicines to dry saliva; however as they cause general drying of secretions eg tears they are a last resort.

Could be your salivary glands, or your swallowing reflex is screwed up.

I'm sure it's nothing major but best to pop over to your GP.
