I'm at university at the moment, but really disliking my course (and don't love a lot of other aspects of the university either) to the extent that I'm considering dropping out.
I think I've found the perfect course at the Cornwall Campus (history and law as opposed to the staight history I'm studying at the moment). Everything about the course seems much more suited to me than the one that I'm on at the moment, I even met the head lecturer and he was lovely .
However... I could do with some info about the campus and what it is actually like to study and live there. I have visited twice now, and it seemed like a lovely place, but didn't really get any idea of what it would actually be like from day to day.
Any info about this would be REALLY helpful, I'm terrified of dropping out of my current course, moving to Cornwall and hating it there because of the lifestyle etc.
Advice on University of Exeter- Cornwall campus please :)!! Watch

If you dont like studying history what makes you think you are instantly going to like studying it in cornwall?

Basically because the way the course is taught and assessed in Cornwall is very different to how it is in my current university, and I think it would suit me a lot more.
E.g I'd have at least 10 hours contact time if went to Cornwall and would do a variety of activities: essays, annotated bibliograpahies, presentations, group work; whereas at the moment I have 3 hours contact time and am just given a massive reading list and essay title at the beginning of the week to do for the end.
I thought that the way I'm 'taught' now would suit me, but it really doesn't- I'm just confused and bored of my subject, whereas I used to love studying history !
Hope you understand my reasons now.. if you could interpret the babbling .
Do you study at the Cornwall campus/ know anything about it?
