It's commonly known that the British talk about the weather more than other nationalities. Why is this? Just curious.. because it's not like our weather varies more than other countries.. maybe we're just really dull and have nothing better to talk about? Suggestions?

It was also common knowledge that the earth was flat. Do we talk more about the weather than other nationalities?

Well what 'No Man' said basically, it varies from -10 degrees C in a bad winter to 33+ degrees C in a good summer. Not to mention floods, sudden snowstorms etc. It's a useful topic to bring up in conversation cause it's always changing and we get to moan about it together.
