I am currently revising for the Psychology AQA spec a PSYA4 and the one thing i find hard is when there are 10 marks on 'Design an experiment'

So when asked to design an experiment, is there a certain list of things i shoudl talk about?

    So far i have

Hypothesis, IV/DV, Sampling, Procedure, Ethical issues, Materials.

Would talking about these things be enough?

This probably goes beyond a level, but I can't remember. Something that you might want to touch upon also is the actual design of the experiment. E.g. Is it repeated or independent measures? What counterbalancing have you put in place if any, does your IV only have one level? How would this influence what statistics you should choose to analyse the data?

I would double check with your syllabus to see what kind of depth is expected of you.

Thanks, The question asked last june was a 10 mark(usually 1 page of writing) of designing the "Method" section of a psychological journal report, And in the mock i did get an A but only 2/10 on that question ( Silly me ONLY spoke about procedure and nothing else!)
