Im doing Edexcel S1 and what im trying to figure out is when do you exactly add one?
For example, 15 sets of data.
Finding Lower Q -> Do i do (15+1)/4
Im not sure, I keep getting the answer wrong when i do the papers, can someone tell me when i add +1 and when i dont?

hey, to find the quartiles the general rule is that firstly you do n/2 for lower quartile
if this is an integer then that's it, the lower quartile is that term
if it isn't an integer value you do n+1/2 if this is an integer then that term is the lower quartile, if this isn't an integer you round up to the next number(this is what i've been taught - edexcel s1 )
same applies to quartile 2 and 3
